Honda Accord Factory Stereo/Radio Removal Procedures

radio1. The center dashboard must be loosened and pulled away in order to gain access to screws securing the plastic dash panel surrounding the radio. Open the center console glove box. On the very bottom is a plastic panel that covers hidden screws. Along with your fingers or a flat head screwdriver, carry up and take away the plastic panel. Once the panel is removed, locate and remove two (2) phillips screws.
2. Raise open the drink tray door. Pull the drink tray up and pull it out of the center console.
Once the drink tray is eliminated, locate and take away three (three) phillips screws. (2) screws will likely be at the bottom of the panel, and (1) might be on the entrance left nook near the highest of the opening.
4. As soon as the three screws have been removed, the center console can be pull back, away from the gear shift console. You only want to pull the center console again 2-3 inches as seen within the photograph above.
5. Hidden underneath the middle console are two (2) phillips screws that safe the plastic trim panel that surrounds the gear shift. Take away each screws.
6. Pull the ashtray out of the dash. Find and remove one (1) phillips screw on the again wall of the opening for the ashtray.
7. All screws securing the sprint panel surrounding the radio have been removed. Lift up the end of the panel closest to the gear shift. The highest of the panel above the radio snaps into the dash. Unsnap the top of the dash and set the sprint panel off to the aspect so you may achieve entry to the radio.
8. The radio is attached to the pocket beneath the radio as one unit or meeting and shall be eliminated as one unit. Once the middle dash console is pulled away from the radio, the radio/pocket meeting becomes visible. Below the pocket is a metal bracket that secures the radio/pocket assembly to the dash. Find and remove (2) phillips screws that safe the metal bracket to the radio/pocket assembly.
9. Pull the radio/pocket assembly out of the dash. Unplug the black antenna cable plugged into the rear of the radio. Unplug the white plastic wire harness connector from the rear of the radio. The radio/pocket assembly can now be utterly faraway from the dash.

Honda Accord Factory Stereo/Radio Installation Procedures

1. Reattach the plastic dash panel and secure it with the one phillips screw within the ashtray opening and two phillips screws at the front end of the panel.
2. Snap in the radio installation package into the opening in the dash. (every package producer have barely totally different designs to their kits. Learn their directions for specifics on their explicit kit.)
3. Slide the brand new radios “mounting sleeve or cage” into the kit and bend the tabs on the cage behind the opening of the kit. Set up Tip: every radio maker has a distinct design to their cages.
