1999-2001 Honda Accord Stereo/Radio Installation

Notice : To remove the radio, the middle sprint panel surrounding the radio must be removed. There are three (3) phillips screws that safe this sprint panel to the primary dash assembly. Nevertheless, (1) one of many screws is hidden behind the clock.

1999-2001 Honda Accord Stereo/Radio Removal Procedure

radio1. The clock unsnaps from the dash panel, however requires a very small flat head screwdriver or similar flat tool. Insert the software into the side gap between the sting of the clock assembly and the sprint panel. GENTLY, pry out that edge of the clock. Insert your fingers into the gap and pull firmly to fully take away the clock from the dash panel. As soon as the clock has been pulled out, unplug the plastic connector connected to the rear of the clock.
2. Once the clock assembly has been eliminated locate and remove one (1) phillips screw.
3. Look on the curved underside of the dash panel. Locate and take away two (2) phillips screws.
4. All screws securing the sprint have now been removed. The plastic sprint panel itself snaps into the principle dash assembly. Begin by pulling gently on both the bottom curve of the sprint panel or one of many prime corners of the sprint panel. Proceed to drag until all sides of the plastic sprint panel have slightly pulled away from the principle sprint assembly. Then pull your entire plastic sprint panel away from the main sprint assembly.
5. Once the plastic sprint panel has been pulled out from the principle dash meeting, flip the panel around so to see the wires connected to the rear side. Unplug all connectors attached to the air conditioner controls. The radio is secured by four (4) screws, your car will either have 4 (four) phillips screws or four (four) eight mm bolt screws. Remove the screws and pull the radio out of the dash. Unplug the wire harness connector and the black antenna cable from the rear of the radio.

1. As seen in the “Mount New Radio” part at the finish of those instructions, position the radios installation kit into the opening in the dash. This type of equipment secures to the dash assembly with the identical screws that had secured the unique Honda radio. As soon as the kit has been aligned, safe the package with the screws. Tip: Check fit the mounting of the equipment by quickly snapping the plastic sprint panel back over the radio and word any alignment changes that have to be made for permanently mounting the radio.
2. The package used for the installation shown within the pictures above require that the radio be mounted to the kit previous to reattaching the plastic panel surrounding the radio. 3. Plug the air conditioner wires into the rear of the plastic dash panel. Reattach the plastic dash panel surrounding the radio. Secure the plastic panel with the screws eliminated earlier. Plug in the wires to the rear of the clock assembly. Snap the clock again into the plastic sprint panel.
